The token system is an effective reward strategy for addressing various behavioral issues in children. It is suitable for children with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), as well as typically developing children.

A token serves as a symbol (such as points, coins, stickers, etc.) awarded immediately when the child exhibits the desired behavior. These tokens can later be redeemed for an item or activity of their choice.

For tokens to be reinforcing, children need to understand the connection between the tokens and Backup Reinforcers—items or activities that hold genuine value.

This course will explore all concepts and skills on token economy.
